First Assembly West was founded under the direction of Pastor Dan Betzer and First Assembly of God in Fort Myers with Reverend Jim Arnold as the Lead Pastor. Approximately one hundred individuals helped launch the West campus in Cape Coral at Ida Baker High School on September 18, 2005. The following year we moved into our current facility at 133 NE Pine Island Road, next to Mike Greenwells Bat-n-Ball and Family Fun Park. On March 1, 2009, Corey Baker was affirmed as the new lead pastor for First West. There is great expectancy at First Assembly West as we continue to fulfill our mission to reach, love, serve, grow, and care for people of Cape Coral with the message of Hope that only comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ the Lord.
